Safe at Home

“The purpose of the Safe at Home Safety Management program is to contribute to the effective planning, management, and implementation of in-home safety plans. Safety plans are established and revised by the Department of Family Services (DFS) for children who are assessed to be unsafe. Safety case managers perform collaboratively with DFS in the process of establishing or revising safety plans, and in many cases, provides primary proactive management of the in-home safety plan.

Safety managers strive to control behaviors, manage situations, and/or substitute for lacking parental capacities that contribute to dangerous family conditions to ensure children are safe in their homes.”
